The Citizen Patrol program provides people interested in serving their community an opportunity to work with the Sunriver Police Department in a meaningful way to make Sunriver a safer place to live and recreate. The focus of the Sunriver Police Department Citizen Patrol program is to provide a platform for the member to impact their community in a positive way. Citizen patrol members are considered auxiliary personnel, have no police authority and are not Peace Officers.
Citizen Patrol Requirements
Citizen Patrol members are carefully screened to ensure they are a good fit for the program. Not all persons in our community would make good Citizen Patrol Members. At a minimum, applicants must meet the following standards:
